I'm a bleeding heart liberal on all policies except for affirmitive action based on race.

Likes:
I love music, mostly rock, mostly classic rock, indie and emo. I also like rap a lot. Not all rap, but good rap. And I absolutely love dance music, but I never dance to it. I love Bob Marley.

I like TV too much. I love Jeopardy, Desperate Housewives, The Simpsons, The Daily Show/almost anything on Comedy Central, those damnable VH1 countdowns.... anything on VH1, really, except for the Surreal Life. And I love reruns- Boston Public, Iron Chef, old West Wing episodes, things like that. I watch a lot of crime shows (Forensice Files, Cold Case Files, Law and Order, and the like). I love old Nickelodean shows, too, like Salute Your Shorts, Pete and Pete, Hey Dude, Legends of the Hidden Temple, and GUTS.

I like to read. I just finished Como Agua Para Chocolate (Like Water for Chocolate) which was good and quite a bit sad at the end. I love John Steinbeck and Kurt Vonnegut. And I like Harry Potter, too.

[A digression: I really am saying "love" a lot here, aren't I?]

I like sarcasm.

I like spending time with my brother.

I like vocabulary.

I like reading about murder and serial killers.

I like thunderstorms and heavy downpours.

I enjoy the color red.

I am deeply in love with Italian and Mexican food.

Dislikes:
I despise ignorance.

I hate capital punishment.

I don't like it when people change themselves completely, depending on who they're around at any given time.

I cannot stand people who try to push their beliefs onto others.

I don't like organized religion. There may or may not be a God, but I don't think that not eating meat during a certain nine days has anything to do with Him/Her/It.

I don't like people who don't type properly.

I don't like people using the word "fag" or "gay" as an insult.

I don't like people who get mad because I curse.

I don't like drizzle.

I don't like crappy bands (Yellowcard, Blink-182, Simple Plan, etc)

I don't like posers.

Friends Only:
I don't want people I don't know reading my more "private" thoughts, so to speak. Actually, if you want me to be honest, I just don't want people I hate to know how bitter and caustic I really am.

The fact of the matter is, there are certain people who I would be uncomfortable with reading this. And so they won't.
